Social Impact Initiatives

Arambh

My journey with Arambh began with small steps. I first volunteered with NGOs like Pahal-ek-Prayas in Meerut, where I witnessed how grassroots efforts create real change. Around the same time, I immersed myself in fencing, representing my state and country at the national level. The sport instilled discipline, resilience, and humility—values that shaped both my identity and my belief in the transformative power of sports. While training, I noticed children from nearby government schools—energetic and full of potential—yet limited by social and financial barriers. To bridge this gap, I began organizing weekend games and small competitions, offering simple rewards like books and stationery. Those smiles marked the beginning of Arambh—an initiative to make sports accessible to underprivileged children and promote physical activity in an age dominated by screens. Since then, Arambh has reached over 1,500 children across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Delhi through sports camps, tournaments, and mentorship programs. We collaborate with local schools, NGOs, and bodies like the Sports Authority of India and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to identify and nurture young talent. A key focus is encouraging girls’ participation in sports, using the playing field as a platform for equality and empowerment. Looking ahead, my dream is to turn Arambh into a nationwide movement—where every child, regardless of background, can discover their potential and experience the life-changing power of sports.
